This little American Kestrel fell from his nest and it was rescued by a friend of mine who cared for him until it was time to be released. Before that, my buddy was kind enough to let me take a few shots of this lovely specimen. This particular photograph was taken seconds away from the actual release of the bird. We stepped outside to let him go and at that time the bird looked up into the sky like he was ready to be freed and take off on his own. Enjoy!!!
