FEATURED IN FRO KNOWS PHOTO

I'm always looking for sources of knowledge in the photography field. One day I found a website called FroKnowsPhoto.com. The website is run by Jared Pollin from Philadelphia and he has a very special way of teaching photography skills.

Jared, aka "The Fro", has a section where you send in a raw file and, if selected, he will edit it and post a video on his website for everybody to see. Also, he will make the file available for all the readers to download and edit it as well.

As you may already know, I'm a music enthusiast. Almost a year ago I met Mr. Marcos Sanchez, a music producer here in Puerto Rico. When I told him that I was into photography, he asked me if I wanted to take some pictures during a recording session. Of course! - I said. It turned out I went to several sessions to take pictures and in one of those, I happened to snap a candid picture of Marcos just talking and laughing. When I showed to him, he asked for permission to submit it to Korg (one of his sponsors) to be featured on their website. Well, here's the picture.

As you may know, i'm always looking for ways to put my work out there for everybody to see. One of the tools I use and recommend is Flickr. Flickr is a photographer's community that allows you to post your work and get critiques and comments from fellow photographers. Also, you can join and ever growing number of groups to narrow your audience.

The website www.fotografia101.com is the largest community of photographers in Puerto Rico. They also have a group in Flickr and they let you to post photos for the members to comment on them. Every single day the select a picture from their Flickr group to be feature a the Picture of the Day on their website.

On February 6, 2012, one of my pictures was featured as the Picture of the Day. So, once again, if you're into photography, don't be afraid and submit your work to all the different websites out there. Sooner or later you will start to see your work being published.

SOME OF MY PHOTOS IN LOCAL NEWSPAPER

When I take pictures, I want to show them to a big audience. That's why I'm always trying to get my work out there for everybody to see it. I don't wanna get paid, I just don't believe in taking pictures and not showing them. I like to share what I do with as many people as possible. So, when a local newspaper asked their readers to submit pictures to be published, both in their hardcopy and online versions, I couldn't resist and I sent them some of my pictures. It turns out, they selected and published a couple of them. So, if you are into photography, I encourage you to share your work, put it out there for everybody to see and enjoy.

Every once in a while I send out pictures to some websites in order to get part of my work out there for everybody to see. One of those sites is: http://www.boriken365.com. This website is geared up towards showing pictures of Puerto Rico taken by their readers. A great aspect of this website is that they give the photographer full credit for the work submitted to them. Below you can see various screenshots of my pictures published by them.
