So I went to a beautiful lake front place to catch the sunrise when a couple of Ospreys were fishing for breakfast. One of such beautiful animals decide to perch about 200 yards from my position. I didn't have my birding setup readily available so I fired away using my Nikon D800 with a 70-200 mm lens at 200 mm. For this shot I had to crop it really agressively in order to end up with a decent picture. Let me know what you think of it, enjoy!!!
While on vacations I had the opportunity to photograph birds. As you already know, I went on my fourth Caribbean cruise on board the Carnival Fascination. While docked in St. Thomas, a big flock of Laughing Gulls were flying around looking for a treat from the ship passengers. They're really confortable with humans as they're pretty accustomed to our presence.
I took advantage of that and got really close to them, snapping a couple of pictures like this one. One note...this birds are really agressive when it come to food! Cruise ship employees advised some of the passengers not to feed them due to a recent incident in wich one of this birds attacked a passenger. I guess I was lucky...enjoy!!! Laughing Gull
Today, no matter how demanding the day becomes…when you have paused in the early hours of dawn just to listen to the birds sing, you will find their song is your Source. Take a minute, stand still, close your eyes and just listen---you just may hear something new. Enjoy!!!
Enjoying NatureAnother shot of this curious Yellow-faced Grassquit. This is the second shot of a series that I took right from my backyard. Enjoy!!! Up CloseGot up this morning, it was raining pretty good. I love rainy days, the smell and the sound of the water as it comes down is music to my ears. Speaking about music, once the rain stopped all sorts of birds were singing their tunes. I gathered my birding camera gear and climbed my yard fence and stood there quietly waiting for the little musicians to show up. I could hear at least five different kinds of birds singing but this one was really courious about my presence. This Yellow-faced Grassquit even gave me a concert---enjoy!!! The Little Song Maker |
