This one I captured during a Tae Kwon Do tournament. The two competitors were fierce and really skilled. Enjoy!!! As you may know my younger son Alejandro practices Tae Kwon Do. He's been at it for almost a year an a half now. Below you can see his happy face as he gets a kiss from one of his instructors after the advancement exam was over. Congratulations son...Daddy loves you! Enjoy!!! AccomplishmentTaekwondo (Korean 태권도), also known as Taekwon-Do and Tae Kwon Do, is a Korean Martial Art. It combines combat and self-defense techniques with sport and exercise. Here my youngest son Alejandro is posing with his Tae Kwon Do Head Instructor for an environmental portrait. The photo was taken at the end of his belt advancement test. Combat Pose!I'm an avid fan of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports. This kind of sporting activity has its supporters as well as a fair share of opposers. For me, MMA is a rude sport but, I see it as a form of competition. Getting ready for a fight is not easy, it takes lots of training, sacrifice and effort. MMA is also a good self defense tool for those who practice it. This next set of pictures were taken during a Puerto Rico National Guard practice session. The military has also adopted MMA and is teaching their soldiers this critical skill of survival in the battlefield. Ready to Tap Out!This next picture is from my son Alejandro winning his first run ever. Last November, his elementary school organized a fun run and the winners were awarded a turkey to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Alejandro was ready and anxious to run and he said that he was gonna win that turkey. Well, he did!!! From the start he came out on front and never lost the edge. The result, his first win in a sport event. I hope this is just the start of an athletic career. The running boy |
