After getting my shots of the iconic Thor's Well, I started scouting around looking around for something different to photograph. The tide was so low that you can see a deep green colored seaweed. I framed my shot and fire away using the plants for and interesting foreground and the ocean, rocks and the sky as compliments for them. It makes for an interesting picture to look at. Enjoy!!!
During my recent visit to the beautiful state of Oregon, I couldn't resist to cover as much ground as possible looking for all the natural wonders this state has to offer. The road trip took me to Thor's Well wich is located near Cape Perpetua. When I got there the sky was really cloudy, meaning, no nice colors for sunset. Nonetheless, I was determined to take nice captures of this stunning piece of the Oregon's coast line. Enjoy!!! North Falls are located in the Silver Falls State Park in Oregon. It’s part of the Trail of Ten Falls, a spectacular, nationally recognized hiking trail that weaves through a dense forested landscape. The trail passes a series of breathtaking waterfalls along a rocky canyon, and descends to a winding creek at the forest floor. This 7.2 mile loop is considered to be a moderate hike, with an overall elevation change of 800 feet. The conditions were perfect the day I visited the park. The sky was completely overcast and some fog was still present when I reached the falls. As yo can see, this place just take just breath away with its unmatched beauty. Enjoy!!! Waterfall Dreams...North Falls, OregonCape Kiwanda is part of the Three Capes Scenic Route (along with Cape Meares and Cape Lookout). Kiwanda is the smallest of the three, but it is one of the best places to experience spectacular wave action. A sea stack is located 1⁄2 mile southwest of the cape. It is one of three features along the Oregon Coast that are called "Haystack Rock," though the one in Cannon Beach is more widely known. That day was really foggy and cloudy so I decided to go for a long exposure shot of the haystack. It turned out pretty good, enjoy!!! Cape Kiwanda Haystack RockDuring my visit to Oregon I stayed two nights at the Timberline Lodge. This place is so unique and beautiful. I was there late june and the ski resort was fully operational. I took my camera out to try to catch the beautiful Mt. Hood and suddenly I was able to snap a picture with some alpenglow on the face of this Oregon icon. It was a unique experience, enjoy!!! Mt. Hood on FireThere are few more iconic symbols of Oregon than Mt. Hood, crowned one of Oregon's 7 Wonders, the state's highest point at 11,245 feet and the fourth highest peak in the entire Cascade Mountain Range. So with this in mind I started looking around to get a nice picture of this natural wonder. After a bit of research I decided to drive to Trillium Lake to catch a reflection of Mt. Hood at sunset. The sky was a bit boring, lacking clouds but the light was just right so I fired away. As you can see, this place is magical, enjoy!!! Mount Hood From Trillium Lake |
