For this one I was attending a long exposure class with a fellow photographer near Aguirre, a small town in southern Puerto Rico. The weather was particularly sunny with a chance of rain. We were monitoring the weather when suddenly, a thunderstorm moved in. Just before it poured down, I managed to snap this one. There's a lot of drama in that sky! Enjoy!!! I'll never get tired of shooting sunsets. Since I'm not much of a morning person, I'll stick with them. This one I captured in Salinas after having dinner at a local restaurant by the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy!!! Sunset in Salinas"On this Veterans Day, let us remember the service of our veterans, and let us renew our national promise to fulfill our sacred obligations to our veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can live free." ---Dan Lipinski Just because someone doesn't have scars, doesn't mean they're not battling... I'm proud to be a veteran (Afghanistan 2006-07). Below is the Veteran's Memorial in Salinas, Puerto Rico. Enjoy!!! For The VeteransNicknamed Las Tetas de Cayey, but officially Cerro Las Tetas, and also Las Piedras del Collado, are two mountain peaks located in the municipality of Salinas, Puerto Rico. Since September 1, 2000, the peaks have become part of a Puerto Rico Natural Reserve and are protected by law. Their height is 2,759 feet (840.94 meters) above sea level. The peaks are so named for their resemblance to a woman's breasts. The word "tetas" is colloquial for "breasts" in Spanish, much like the English word "tits". A common misconception is that Las Tetas are located in the municipality of Cayey. Las Tetas are actually located in the municipality of Salinas, in Barrio Palmas, a ward on the northwestern part of the municipality of Salinas. Despite all the facts, everybody calls them Las Tetas de Cayey. Las Tetas de Cayey |
