Nestled on the highest point of the island you can visit a historic 1887 lighthouse. Two trails lead to the lighthouse which sadly is in very poor condition. You are not allowed to enter for your safety, however you may walk around the perimeter of the lighthouse to admire it’s unique architecture. The real reward are the majestic views from the observation tower on the south side of the lighthouse. Enjoy!!! Puerto Rico is full of beautiful places. Just get outhere, explore and be responsible with the envornment, enjoy!!! Antother Stunning PlaceAs a nature photographer I get up early in the morning to travel to the location to be photographed. I'm always hoping for perfect weather conditions and for pretty and dramatic skies, that means enough clouds to really make that sky stand out. Unfortunately, that's not always the case and when it happens sometimes I just pack everything up and come back some other day, but when I'm traveling...I have no other choice but to fire away and hope for the best. As you can see, having a mostly plain sky works for some shots. Portland Head Headlight, enjoy!!! First LightOne of the most beautiful waterfalls of Puerto Rico...Las Delicias. The water here is colder than most, and crystal clear. To get to the main waterfall, you will need to do a little scrambling over a few rocks. And that’s where you’ll fall in love! The water cascades down a curved rock wall, covered in moss and plants. It looks, sounds, and feels cool and refreshing! Enjoy!!! Waterfall Dreams...Las DeliciasWhether poised at a river bend or cruising the coastline with slow, deep wingbeats, the Great Blue Heron is a majestic sight. This stately heron with its subtle blue-gray plumage often stands motionless as it scans for prey or wades belly deep with long, deliberate steps. They may move slowly, but Great Blue Herons can strike like lightning to grab a fish or snap up a gopher. In flight, look for this widespread heron’s tucked-in neck and long legs trailing out behind. Enjoy!!! Great Blue Heron |
